About the Investment Advisory Committee

The Investment Advisory Committee is made up of seven members, including CalOptima’s Chief Financial Officer, who provide advice and recommendations regarding the organization’s investments. The members are appointed by the CalOptima Board of Directors and serve two-year terms with no term limits.

Investment Advisory Committee members must have experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • Commercial banking

  • Financial accounting

  • Financial management and planning

  • Investment banking

  • Investment brokerage and sales

  • Investment management

  • Other relevant experience, such as service as a member of a board of directors, or of a finance, audit, or investment committee of a government agency, or of a not-for-profit or health care-related organization.
