About the Provider Advisory Committee

The Provider Advisory Committee is comprised of 14 voting members, each seat representing a constituency that works with CalOptima and our members. These include:

  • Allied health services providers

  • Community clinics

  • Health networks

  • Hospitals

  • Long term care providers (two seats)

  • Nurses

  • Non-physician medical practitioners

  • Orange County Health Care Agency

  • Physicians (three seats)

  • Pharmacists

  • Traditional safety net providers

One of the 14 positions is a standing seat represented by the Orange County Health Care Agency. Each of the remaining 13 members serve two-year terms with no term limits.
