If you need another copy of the CalOptima Member Handbook, have questions, or need help with your health care, please call our Customer Service Department at 1-714-846-8500 or toll free at 1-888-587-8088 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Members with speech or hearing impairments can call our TDD/TTY line at 1-714-846-8523. We also provide interpreter services at no cost to our members. We have staff who speak your language.

Other Programs and Services

We want to make sure you have access to the best health care possible. Here are some of the programs we have in place to help you get the care you need, when you need it.

  • Our Member Liaison Program helps guide seniors, members with disabilities or members who have unstable housing through the health care system and can help answer questions about doctor’s appointments, prescriptions, durable medical equipment, and much more.
  • Our Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) helps frail, elderly members stay in their homes rather than go to nursing homes.
  • We provide bilingual staff and interpreter services so you feel comfortable talking to us and your health care providers.
  • We have Case Management for members who have difficult medical problems. Case managers are doctors, nurses or other health care professionals who help arrange for medical care, community resources and other services that may be needed.
  • We provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), such as ambulance, litter van, or wheelchair van services when a medical or physical condition makes travel by ordinary public or private transportation not possible. Talk to your doctor about this benefit.
  • We offer members access to help with the application process for Supplemental Security Income, a federal program that helps those who are either aged (65 or over), blind, or disabled and have little or no income.
