OneCare is a Medicare Advantage Plan that combines your Medicare, prescription drug, and Medi-Cal benefits into one simple and easy-to-use plan. OneCare is one of the programs offered through CalOptima.

You can enroll in OneCare if you have both Medi-Cal and Medicare Parts A and B benefits and live in Orange County.

OneCare offers the benefits covered by a Medicare Advantage Plan, plus the benefits covered by Medi-Cal. These benefits include:

  • No-cost dental for covered benefits

  • $0 co-payment for generic drugs and brand-name drugs up to $2,000

  • Annual vision exams and $150 for frames and lenses or up to $150 allowance for contact lenses every two years

  • No-cost transportation to and from medical appointments (60 one-way trips per calendar year)

Yes. OneCare provides comprehensive drug coverage. Generic drugs are covered with $0 co-payment. Brand-name drugs are available after the $2,000 cost, with a $3.30 or $6.30 co-payment for a 90-day supply.

Yes. OneCare provides dental coverage through the LIBERTY Dental Plan. The LIBERTY Dental Plan offers access to almost 200 general dentists and 270 specialists. There is $0 co-payment for twice-a-year teeth cleaning and $0 co-payment for other dental work, such as some crowns, dentures and root canals.

Yes. OneCare members can receive one (1) eye exam every year and one (1) pair of eyeglasses and/or contact lenses every two (2) years.

With most health plans, it’s hard to understand and use the benefits, especially if you have both Medicare and Medi-Cal coverage. With OneCare, your Medicare and Medi-Cal benefits are combined under one health plan. You receive just one card and only have to make one call for all your health care needs. Less paperwork means less hassle for you.

There is no cost to enroll in OneCare. OneCare members do not pay plan premiums or deductibles. There is $0 co-payment for most health care services such as doctor visits, hospital services and emergency services.

Yes. OneCare has over 1,000 primary care physicians and more than 1,500 specialists to choose from in Orange County. OneCare also has a great selection of hospitals in your neighborhood.

OneCare provides taxi rides to and from your medical appointments at no cost to you. You can have up to 60 one-way rides per calendar year for medical services within 10 miles of Orange County.
